After 38 years of unwavering dedication, Tecleab “Tec” Neguse, our Manager of Buildings, Grounds & Security, officially stepped into retirement this spring. The NECO community gathered on April 15 to bid a heartfelt farewell to the man who has been the stalwart backbone of our campus for nearly four decades—and now a new scholarship has been launched to honor our former colleague.

NECO held its 132nd commencement on Sunday, May 17, 2026 at Boston’s Symphony Hall, conferring Doctor of Optometry degrees to 127 students in the four-year OD program, as well as five students who were awarded a Master’s Degree in Vision Science concurrently with their OD degree.
