Clausen Room Ceiling to be Replaced

While many of us enjoyed some vacation time over the summer, our Facilities team was burning the candle at both ends by finishing up the new CTC in the former library space, regular seasonal maintenance, and then the realization that the plaster ceiling in the Clausen Room was beginning to fail.

Ceiling contractors were immediately called in and the ornamental plaster ceiling was carefully removed—onlly to reveal two older ceilings below it! Once everything was taken down, the crew began work to install a new ceiling.

For the time being, the Clausen Room is closed, but we will let you know when the work is completed and the room is reopened for study space and events. Thanks for your patience and cooperation.
