NECO is excited to announce that we have rejoined the Pediatric Eye Disease Investigators Group. We are actively recruiting for Amblyopia Treatment Studies 23 and 24: A Randomized Trial of Virtual Reality Video Treatment for Amblyopia.
If you have any amblyopic patients between the ages of 4–12, please consider referring them to the trials. Study visits will take place at 424 Beacon Street and all patches, VR headsets, and glasses updates during the trial are provided to the subject at no cost, with transportation costs covered.
Inclusion criteria:
Participants should be 4-12 years of age with amblyopia in one eye.
Vision in the amblyopic eye should be 20/40 to 20/200 (3+ line difference from the better-seeing eye).
Prior treatment is acceptable. The study doctors will discuss when Atropine eye drops or patching must be discontinued in order to be enrolled.
