Joins Colleagues for Summer Sips

You’re invited to join us for Summer Sips on the Patio on Tuesday, August 5 from 2:45–4:00PM.

Come take a break, enjoy the summer weather, and connect with colleagues over lemonade, iced tea, cookies, and fresh fruit. Whether you stop by for a few minutes or stay awhile, it’s a great opportunity to unwind and spend time together as a community.

NECO Walking Group Update

The NECO Walking Group is going strong at Beacon! The group meets every Wednesday from 12:00-12:30PM and every Thursday from 12:00-1:00PM (please note there may be occasional calendar adjustments due to college events). The group is open to all faculty and staff – feel free to join for part or all of the time as we move, socialize, and explore the area together on varying routes. Joining the Walking Group is a great way to get some movement in for the Activity Challenges!

Activity Challenge Going Strong

The NECO Activity Challenge is still on! Across all sites we are engaging in friendly competition for the highest activity count each month through the summer, with prizes awarded to the top 5 most active community members. Whether you use a mobility aid, have a disability, or prefer activities beyond walking, a wide range of activities are supported and count toward the challenge. For community members on the BCBS health plan, participating can also contribute toward fitness perks and benefits. Learn more here or contact HR@neco.edu for additional information. The July Challenge winners will be announced in the first week of August.

August is the final month of competition! Please join us for the fourth and final round which kicks off August 1. If you did not participate in previous challenges that is fine, new participants and returning are both more than welcome.
