Women in Optometry has announced that six ODs have been named 2026 Theia Award winners, including NECO’s very own Dr. Bina Patel, honored as the Education Winner.
The winners will be celebrated with a champagne toast at the close of the 2026 Women’s Leadership Conference in September.
Dr. Patel says being an optometric educator brings her “immense satisfaction and the drive to do more. Teaching is a wonderful opportunity to connect with people from all walks of life and to gain a deeper understanding of diverse educational systems.”
